About All Australia Australia is the world's smallest continent that stretches from the Indian Ocean to the South Pacific. Over 80% of all Australian agricultural production is exported including meat, cereals, dairy products, wine, wool and rapeseed. Australia is the world’s largest refiner of bauxite, and the largest producer of gem and industrial diamonds, lead and tantalum, and the mineral sands ilmenite, rutile and zircon. Sport plays an important part in Australian culture, especially cricket, hockey, netball, rugby league, rugby union, cycling, rowing and swimming.
