Ottawa is the fourth largest city in Canada with a population of over 1.2 million and an area of 2,760 square kilometres. National museums and galleries in Ottawa include the National Gallery of Canada, the Canadian War Museum, the Canada Science and Technology Museum, the Canadian Museum of Nature and the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography. Ottawa is home to two major league sports teams, the Ottawa Senators ice hockey team and the Ottawa Renegades football team. Ottawa also supports sports such as ice skating, skiing, ice fishing, and curling in winter and cycling, jogging, cricket, sailing and golf during summer. |
