Dover Castle Strategically placed on the famous White Cliffs of Dover. The castle is the 'Key of England' and has 2000 years of history contained within the walls, amongst others an Iron Age Fort, a Roman Lighthouse, a Saxon Church, and a Norman Keep.
Bronze Age Boat In September 1992, archaeologists from the Canterbury Archaeological Trust discovered the remains of a spacious wooden prehistoric boat thought to be some 3,000 years old, belonging to a period known to archaeologists as the Bronze Age.
