Speke Hall
Speke is one of the 4 most important surviving timber-framed buildings in the north of England. The extensive Victorian recreation of its interiors in the antiquarian spirit has only increased its value and interest.

Albert Dock
Albert Dock was originally built for sailing ships, so after the 1890's, with the building of steam ships, the dock was rarely used. Albert Dock was finally closed in 1972 and after a major resoration is now a huge tourism attraction.
