Admiralty Arch Admiralty Arch was built in 1910 to the design of Sir Aston Webb as part of the Queen Victoria Memorial. The arch is situated at the northeast end of The Mall and on the southwest side of Trafalgar Square.
St. Martins in the Fields The first known church on this site dates from 1222 surrounded by the fields in which the monks of Westminster Abbey pastured their animals. This current building is the masterpiece of James Gibbs and was consecrated in 1726.
Trafalgar Square Trafalgar Square, London's most famous, was laid out in 1829 to 1841 to commemorate Nelson's victory at the Battle of the same name in 1805. Dominating the square, on a column that is 185 feet high, is the 17 foot high statue of Nelson himself.
