The Novotel Century Hong Kong (238 Jaffe Road, Wanchai) is currently under renovation. It has a small gym and pool, two restaurants and a bar. The Hotel staff are very helpful and most are friendly. Hotel rooms are normally clean, but sometimes there are marks on bed linen and towels. The rooms have amenities in the bathroom, soap, mouthwash, body lotion, shampoo, body lotion, shoe sponge, shower cap, comb, cotton buds. The room has a flat screen tv, fridge, jug for tea and coffee and tea and coffee sachets. There are no irons or ironing boards in the room which is a pain as I need to phone housekeeping to bring them to the room. There is 24 hour room service and the selection is quite good. The hotel has a little bit of road noise, however that’s standard for Hong Kong. There are lots of shops / bars / restaurants in the area. There is a Ikea 15 min walk away which is very handy. You can see the water through the buildings from many of the rooms. Hotel is non-smoking.
But six floors are designated smoking rooms. Good air conditioning / heating. Breakfast has a very good buffet in the restaurant called Coffeeshop and the other restaurant is called Pepino which is Italian and is open for lunch and dinner.
