You can find Wind Gardens 10 minutes from the center of Wellington city. Because of the extreme harshness of the climate, being blasted frequently by north and salt-laden south winds, garden plants react differently here than in more lush areas.
Staglands Wildlife Reserve
Staglands educates by ably demonstrating many features that depict the history of New Zealand and its' native flora and fauna. The reserve is home to several important native species of birds.
