Kintyre Tourist Information
The tourist office for Kintyre is situated at the head of the pier in Campbeltown opposite the Royal Hotel. An excellent variety of leaflets on the area and full information on hotels and accommodation is available.
Argyll and Kintyre
Kintyre. A long peninsula, some 40 miles long, pushing out towards Northern Ireland which is only 15 miles from Southend village at the tip. Campbelltown is where the 7th Earl of Argyll built a castle overlooking the natural harbor in the early 1600s.
