Dallas is the third-most populous city in the state of Texas with a population of over 1.2 million. Dallas is the main cultural and economic centre of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area with a combined population of over 5.7 million people.

Dallas has a humid subtropical climate with hot, dry, winds from the north and west in the summer and an average annual snowfall of 2.5 inches in winter.
