Holyhead Town is located on Holy Island. The Island which is 8 miles long and 4 miles wide, is separated from the Isle of Anglesey by a sandy strait, crossed by 2 causeways. Holyhead, Anglesey's largest town, has a population of just over 12,000.
Conwy Castle
Conwy along with Harlech is probably the most impressive of all the Welsh castles. Both were designed by Edward I's master castle builder James of St. George. Conwy's 8 massive towers and high curtain wall are more impressive than those at Harlech.
